The Company - Abaco Cays Reality is a new company founded in late 2006. The brokers and principals are Derek Lee and Chris Plummer. These experienced realtors spent many years as Abaco District Managing Broker and Assistant Abaco Manager for one of the Bahamas largest real estate services. They began the new company to assure that their customers and clients receive the local level of care and personal service for which they have become known and which was becoming virtually impossible to maintain with a fast growing international company.
Personnel - In addition to the principals, Derek Lee and Chris Plummer, Abaco Cays Realty is fortunate to have several individuals who were an integral part of the former team. They are not only experienced realtors but each has been very successful in establishing non-real estate oriented Abaco Businesses of their own. Chris Albury is a principal of Man-O-War Marina at Man-O-War Cay. Faron Sawyer is a founder and principal of Cherokee Air and Arawak Agency, an air charter company and a customs brokerage agency. Silbert Mills is founder, principal and top personality for Radio Abaco, the only Abaco based radio station. Bill Johnston is a principal of J & J Electric and has served as Abaco's chief electrical inspector. These individuals have a wealth of experience, knowledge and contacts in the areas of the marine industry, transportation, customs and importation, media and utilities. These individuals are all Bahamas Real Estate Association-trained professionals, who have extensive experience in real estate, as well as international business and marketing, together with an intimate knowledge of Abaco. Our team is spread throughout Abaco and have the benefit of being readily available to all areas. For our buyers, we give informational materials which tell a true and complete story of the properties they are viewing. We prepare beautifully drawn, detailed plot plans and maps as well as photos, which will make Abaco's outstanding properties and their unique locations come alive. We maintain state-of-the-art equipment and will customize your presentation to suit your needs.
Broker Relationships - We have excellent relationships with all other area brokers and are very proud of these associations. When we learn of a prospective buyer's wishes and dreams, we invest considerable time shopping and examining other broker's inventory to assure that we can present all properties in Abaco that will meet our client's criteria. On many occasions we will take buyers into other realtor's offices to meet the personnel and again to ensure the client that they have seen all available property that might be of interest in the area. We strive to provide a level of all-inclusive service, so that a prospective buyer or seller will have no need for any other broker. For the seller's benefit, we distribute to other brokers supplies of presentation materials of all our listings for their exclusive use. We even print other broker's names and logos on material so that they may proudly present properties as their own inventory and exhibit all of our properties without fear of being by-passed by a potential buyer. We maintain ongoing communications with other brokers, continually monitoring property activity.

Transportation - The geography of Abaco is very exciting and diverse. Its very nature often makes the travel to many properties a real adventure. We are the only area broker that maintains vessels to transport customers to all areas. We have our own dock at our Marsh Harbour office with M/V Traveller ready to transport prospective buyer onto the Sea of Abaco at a moment's notice. All of our agents have access to vessels and can provide transport without the necessity of awaiting time consuming ferry schedules.
